Holistic Financial Planning Process
Our five-step financial planning process provides the framework for our working relationship with you.
Discovering Your Financial Goals and Priorities
Any successful advisory relationship requires an understanding of who you are as a person. We begin our holistic financial planning process by listening to your life story and learning about your goals and priorities. This discovery process focuses on understanding what matters most to you, both personally and financially.
Analyzing Your Financial Life
If you have ever been frustrated by how many different places you have to look to find your financial information, you will appreciate having your own financial planning website that gathers all of the components of your financial life in one location for meaningful analysis: assets, loans, investments, insurance, deferred compensation awards/grants, pension and Social Security benefits, cash flow and budgeting.
Developing Your Financial Plan
The results of our analysis are built into your comprehensive financial plan, which is designed to provide context and clarity for all of your important financial questions. Are you saving enough? Are you using tax-efficient strategies to fund your goals? Do you have sufficient insurance to protect yourself and your loved ones? Do your investment accounts fit your financial goals? Are you on track for retirement? Is your estate plan in order?
Implementing Your Financial Strategies
Investment strategies may need to be altered. Insurance may need to be purchased. Your estate plan may need to be updated. College funding accounts may need to be established. Debt may need to be repaid or refinanced. Stock/option award plans may require action. Retirement decisions… well, you get the idea. This is all part of the implementation stage, where we put your financial plan into action.
Monitoring Your Financial Progress
Your personal financial planning website enables us to monitor your financial progress proactively to make sure that you are tracking your goals. We also meet with you in person at least once per year for an annual review and communicate regularly via email and telephone. We pride ourselves on our responsiveness and encourage you to contact us with questions, issues, thoughts and concerns.
